Nazca Aliens
Iit´s midday in Nazca and it´s sooo hot here that we decided to spend few hours in the internet shop next to the fan. These people have no idea what an autumn is all about. ¿Where is the drizzling rain, wind and cold weather? ¿Donde, Donde? Well it is one of the driest places on earth after all. The journey here took 7 hours through amasing Peruvian desert lodged between the mighty Andes and the Pacific Ocean. There is not much we can say about Nazca town itself but this morning we took tiny 6 seater plane over the Nazca plain to see the lines. The figures are bit smaller than we expected but amazing none the less. The plain is massive and the lines criss cross it in bizzare geometrical paterns. And then there are the figures themselves. So wierd. They say it´s something to do with ancient Nazca civilisation but we know it´s them aliens again. We had jolly little pilot who decided, at the end of our trip, to take us on a little rollorcoster ride. Off we went up and down, up and down - it was good we didn´t have breakfast before the flight. Nina was happy when the pilot decided to level the plane and calmly touch down. Now we have 11 hours wait for our next bus journey, 8-10 hours overnight journey to Arequipa.

Hi Rob and Nina, travellers extrordinaire,
Still sounds like you're having a great time and still very jealous. :) Weather here is hitting 26 degrees today and DP is two weeks away and panic has set in. They haven't laid on dinner yet but Deliverance is still a regular occurance. Thought you'd like to know!
Geoff.
hey you two. I am sorry to hear your Lima experience was a bit on the foggy side but it sounds like you are having a blast anyway, aero-acrobatics notwithstanding. (poor Nina, I can just picture you griping the seat rest with one hand and draining the blood from Rob's arm with the other)
Those lines of yours look a bit like the ones in England you know: hillfigures . Do you reckon it was the same aliens what did it?
When are you back btw?
Our garden is blooming nicely and now that the cherry blossom is floating down and covering both the ground and the skyline, it kinda feels like a cloud in heaven when you go out.
keep the updates coming and some piccies too. It's nice to see you all refreshed and smiley.
xx dijana
Hey Geoff,
good to hear from you, although i wish for your sake you weren´t having to work so hard. Hopefully some overtime is coming your way. Maybe there be some work for me when i get back. Say hi to everyone there (well those who care anyways) and be sure to remind Carlos about how Barca are going to lose to the Arsenal.
hey dijana,
yeah i think the Nazca Aliens might have had traveled to UK to plot a few lines there too. There is no other explanation is there?!
We are still not sure when are we arriving to UK yet. We are off to Chile now and then across to Argentina where we would like to spend some quality time watching World Cup so any time after that i guess. Good to hear from you and that your garden is doing well.
Give our love to Damien.
